"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!" - Mister Rogers
Today is gorgeous outside. Wade, Brinkley, and I have spent the entire morning outside. It began with a walk and jog at the local park's trail. We walked the first half and jogged the second half. Brinkley has a few "winter pounds" to shed before his annual exam at the vet... aiming to not hear the dreaded words "green bean diet" this time around. Hopefully, over time, we can get him into jogging shape!
After our walk the three of us played in the backyard, gardened, and ran off some more energy.
It got me thinking about how getting out in nature relieves stress, lightens your mood, and brings you closer to the Creator. We love digging in the dirt, rolling in the grass, and laughing until our faces hurt! What a great way to spend our day :-) Take a peek into our backyard...
tomatillo and cherry tomato plants (need to space them out more next year)
tropical plumbago, lantana, and sweet potato vine
captured a butterfly on its way to the garden
zucchini plants and cucumbers on the fence
butterfly flower garden
hydrangeas - my absolute favorite
my little garden gnome
today's harvest: bell peppers, banana pepper, zucchini, cherry tomatoes
