So I don't do so well blogging things in a timely fashion... but this called for an IMMEDIATE post!!
**Please note: if you have a very sensitive gag reflex, this post may not be for you.**
It all begins with Wade and I enjoying our favorite part of the day - the time we spend laughing and singing right after his first morning feeding.
Sweet and innocent little Wade... even Brinkley joined in for some songs and laughter.
All of a sudden, I hear a big loud toot, and Wade begins to laugh and smile. We sang some more until I decided that I should go check the little guy's diaper to see what might have happened. (At this point, I'm assuming nothing has happened because he is a gas man... usually just air!)
I laid him down to see this...
Oh my! I'm starting to gag... just a little. I opened his outfit and discovered...
WOW... (cue intense gagging and slight panic)!
NOW I'm so freaked out concerned that I begin talking out loud, discussing all of my options.
Option 1. Set him in the sink and spray him down... no, he HATES the sprayer.
Option 2. Fill up the kitchen sink and dunk his hiney in it... no, he HATES to be cold. That will make him shiver all over.
Option 3. Leave him in this mess for a few minutes and give him a real bath... DING DING DING!! Best option: he loves a warm bath, and he needs one anyways.
So I give him a bath. (Please note that the water became yellowish-brown immediately!!) I dried him off, lotioned him up, put a diaper on him, changed his clothes, and put him in the swing!!
Happy Baby=Happy Mom :-)
Then I had to act fast... Oxy Clean to the rescue!! (God bless Billy Mays... may he rest in peace).
I let it soak for about 30 minutes to find this...
Drastic improvement. (Although, I don't know if it will ever be the same.) Sorry Aunt Kim and Uncle Jim; we will probably have to replace your cute outfit!
Now my sweet baby is taking his morning nap, giving me enough time to blog and take a shower. The annoyances joys of motherhood... cleaning up a BLOWOUT!!

Haha! He wasn't messing around was he?? Love that he laughed and smiled after it. I bet he felt SO much better!
ReplyDeleteha! That is hilarious. After Matt saw the picture, he said "That must be a blowout!" I said, "Yup babe!!"
