One of my closest and dearest friends, post college, is actually someone I have known since elementary school. Rachel and I knew of each other growing up, but we had different groups of friends. We went off to college and began to spend more time together. By the end of year 5, she became one of my dearest friends.
Last spring, our friendship grew even more. We were both pregnant at the same time, due 5 weeks apart. It was so fun to have a friend who was experiencing the journey of pregnancy and their first child. We talked on the phone, sharing stories and concerns, and knew that there was always someone there going through the same thing. I always joked with her that Wade was either going to have the coolest Baylor roommate ever or a future spouse (since she and Jordan did not find out beforehand if they were having a girl or a boy).
Her sweet baby, Norah Rose, was born exactly 3 weeks before Wade. Our babies will forever be friends (if we have anything to do with it)!! Here are some pictures from the first time they met.
